Academy Awards – Premi Oscar 2012, le nomination 24 gennaio 2012

Sono state annunciate poco fa le nomination dell’84a edizione degli Academy Awards, i premi Oscar, assegnati annualmente dalla Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, organizzazione onoraria formata da personalità che hanno portato avanti la loro carriera nel mondo della celluloide composta da 5.755 membri.
La serata di gala dell’edizione 2012 avrà luogo domenica 26 febbraio al Kodak Theatre di Hollywood (Los Angeles) e sarà condotta per la nona volta dall’attore Billy Crystal. Negli Stati Uniti la cerimonia sarà trasmessa su ABC ed in Italia per gli abbonati alla pay TV satellitare Sky sul canale Sky Cinema 1HD dalle 22.55 (con il commento dallo studio di Gianni Canova, Francesco Castelnuovo e Martina Riva in collegamento dal red carpet con Simona Ventura). Vengono premiati i film usciti nelle sale statunitensi dal 1° gennaio al 31 dicembre 2011.
Quest’anno “Hugo Cabret”, pellicola in 3D di Martin Scorsese, ottiene undici candidature; a seguire “The Artist” con dieci e 6 nomination a testa per “L’arte di vincere” e “War Horse”.
Nove le pellicole candidate come miglior film dell’anno, una in meno dallo scorso anno. I film sono: “War Horse”, “The Artist”, “L’arte di vincere”, “The Help”, “Hugo Cabret”, “Molto forte, incredibilmente vicino”, “Paradiso amaro”, “The Tree of Life” e “Midnight in Paris”.
Le attrici candidate a miglior attrice protagonista sono Glenn Close (“Albert Nobbs”), Viola Davis (“The Help”), Rooney Mara (“Uomini che odiano le donne”), Meryl Streep (“Iron Lady”) e Michelle Williams (“My Week with Marilyn); gli attori sono George Clooney (“Paradiso amaro”), Demiàn Bichir (“A Better Life”), Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”), Gary Oldman (“La talpa”) e Brad Pitt (“L’arte di vincere”).
Tra gli italiani, in gara anche gli scenografi Dante Ferretti e Francesca Lo Schiavo (entrambi per “Hugo Cabret”) e Enrico Casarosa con il film d’animazione “La Luna”.
